For Parents and Students

Decrease Stress and Facilitate Your Child’s Growth

Tired of nagging and repeating the same requests to your child multiple times? Frustrated by your child’s whining and emotional outbursts? At a loss for how to handle homework meltdowns?

Does your child experience anxiety, frustration, anger, boredom or lack of motivation, engagement or personal relevance toward school? Does your child have difficulty avoiding distractions, staying focused and self-regulating?

If these situations sound familiar, parenting your child may be extra challenging, and dealing with these challenges will require a toolbox of effective parenting strategies to decrease the toxic impact of stress on you and your child.

AMMPE™ Brain-Based Support for Parents is here to help you develop that toolbox.

Parents’ Toolbox: Strategies to Overcome Barriers and Achieve Success

Science has now proven that stress is a huge inhibitor to learning and well being. When you and your child are stressed, you’re not in a productive emotional state to learn, communicate and perform at your best.

Becoming aware of stress and the role it plays in your parenting and your child’s learning, memory, processing and performance can produce life-changing outcomes.

Using recent findings in Neuroscience, Education and Psychology, AMMPE™ Brain-Based Learning helps parents identify and remove stressful barriers to learning, communication, and well being. In one-to-one or small group settings, parents learn how to:

• Develop positive thinking patterns and habits that support how the brain learns best
• Foster a brain-friendly environment and schedule
• Communicate effectively with your child
• Provide helpful feedback to your child
• Boost your child’s Executive Functioning and Social and Emotional Learning

Parents build brains everyday and play an instrumental role in helping their children develop strong cognitive, social and emotional skills. Let us show you how to decrease stress, maximize your effectiveness and make parenting a more joyful and productive experience.

AMMPE™ Brain-Based Support for Students

Is your child underperforming in school or lacking motivation? Challenged by homework or poor grades? Is your child stressing out, acting out or zoning out in school or at home?

Many students feel this way, and when they do, they experience the impact of stress on learning, memory, processing, relationships and performance, which negatively affects students’ self perception and ability to learn.

 What We Do

We help students from grade 3 through college succeed in school and life by teaching them skills and strategies on how to decrease brain stress and maximize their potential. Not to be confused with therapy, brain-based training software, or “typical” subject-based tutoring, AMMPE™ Brain-Based Learning for Students helps a wide range of learners, including students with ADHD, learning disabilities, “underperformers” and “high achievers.”

In one-to-one or small group settings, students learn how to change negative thoughts about learning to regulate emotions, build confidence, achieve better performance and persevere through challenges, even when setbacks occur. If needed, students receive direct, explicit instruction with Comprehension, Study and/or Writing Skills. Additionally, students learn strategies for managing stress and developing the following skills:

• Executive Functions, including organization and decision making
• Attention, listening, memory, and processing
• Character and a Growth Mindset
• Grit and resilience
• Communication and collaboration
• Emotional and social intelligence
• Mindfulness

Colleges, hiring managers and CEO’s seek many of these skills and strategies, yet they’re not often explicitly taught in school. AMMPE™ Brain-Based Support helps students make their brain their best asset while developing essential tools for success in school, relationships, careers and life.
